This is an outstanding banjo for beginners and advanced players. I bought a Special Edition banjo (hence the higher price). That makes it a very honest banjo, and it has my respect. I would find it hard pressed to cut through others if played in a group or jam. It uses guitar-style tuners. Being an open-back it’s easily muted with a small towel stuck between the cordinator rod and the head, making it very silent while keeping good tone and pitch.
